The official syllabus for the Public Service Commission (PSC) exams in Goa has been comprehensively defined by the examination conducting body. The syllabus covers various posts under Group A and Group B, including Junior Scale Officer (JSO), Assistant Professors, and more.

Goa PSC Syllabus for Group A and Group B Posts 2021 - Advertisement No. 1

Candidates can refer to the official Goa PSC Recruitment Syllabus 2021 for Group A and Group B, specifically for Advertisement No. 1. This syllabus is applicable to various posts such as Lecturer in Medicine, Assistant Professor in Neurology, Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology, and more. The selection process for most of the advertised posts includes a written test followed by an interview.

Common Syllabus for All Posts:The syllabus for Group A and Group B Advertisement No. 1 by Goa PSC primarily consists of four subjects:

1. General English, including Grammar:- Tenses- Articles- Reading Comprehension- Verb- Missing Word- Fill in the Blanks

2. Logical Reasoning:- Puzzle- Blood Relations- Analogies- Verbal and Figure Classification- Non-verbal series- Relationship concepts- Similarities & Differences- Decision making- Syllogism

3. General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Events of National and International Importance

4. Core Subject:This subject will vary based on the specific post applied for and will be mentioned in the individual post's syllabus.

Candidates are advised to refer to the table below for the syllabus common to all the advertised posts, excluding the Core Subject.

By thoroughly understanding and preparing according to the above-mentioned syllabus, candidates can enhance their chances of success in the Goa PSC Group A and Group B Examination.

Goa PSC conducted the CBRT Written test on 10th and 11th April 2021 for various posts. The written test included four main subjects, namely English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and Core Subject.

Exam Pattern for Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Tutor Posts:

- General English including Grammar: 5 questions, 75 marks, 75 minutes- General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Events of National and International Importance: 10 questions, 75 marks, 75 minutes- Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability: 10 questions, 75 marks, 75 minutes- Core Subject: 50 questions, 75 marks, 75 minutes- Total: 75 questions, 75 marks, 75 minutes

Exam Pattern for Mechanical Cultivation Officer and Assistant Public Prosecutor Posts:

- General English including Grammar: 10 questions, 75 marks, 75 minutes- General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and Events of National and International Importance: 10 questions, 75 marks, 75 minutes- Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability: 25 questions, 75 marks, 75 minutes- Core Subject: 30 questions, 75 marks, 75 minutes- Total: 75 questions, 75 marks, 75 minutes

Candidates who pass the written test will be called for an interview, while for some posts, there might be a direct interview process. Additionally, for the Archivist Grade-I post, an interview process followed by a special Departmental Examination in the Portuguese Language will be conducted before confirmation.

For Group A and Group B Advertisement No. 2, the written examination was conducted on 10th and 11th April 2021. The exam pattern included four subjects: General English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and Core Subject. After clearing the written test, candidates proceed to the interview round.

For Group A and Group B Advertisement No. 3, the Goa PSC will soon release the syllabus for the Assistant Agricultural Officer and Planning Officer posts. The syllabus is expected to comprise four major subjects: General English, Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, and the Core Subject.

For Group A and Group B Advertisement No. 4, Goa PSC has released recruitment for various posts such as Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology and Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery. Interested candidates must apply before 26th April 2021. The commission will shortlist candidates based on their applications and conduct interviews or written tests as per the situation.
