Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) is inviting online applications for the recruitment of Medical Officers in Group A (Junior Branch) within the Odisha Medical and Health Services Cadre, under the Health and Family Welfare Department. - MBBS or equivalent Degree from a Medical College or Medical Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India.
- Must have a valid Registration certificate under the Odisha Medical Regulation Rules 1961.
- Must have the required Conversion Certificate recognized by MCI.
1. Written Examination (Will be held at Cuttack/Bhubaneswar)
2. Viva Voce Test
- The Written Test shall be 200 Marks.
- Total Number of Questions in the Written Test: 200 (Multiple Choice Question - MCQ Pattern)
- No Negative marking for wrong answers.
- The duration of the examination shall be 3 hours.
- The syllabus shall be as per MCI Syllabus for MBBS Course.
500/- for General / OBC category candidates.
No fee for SC, ST, Odisha, and Persons with Disability (with a permanent disability of 40% or more) candidates.
1. Eligible candidates should submit their Online Application through the OPSC Recruitment Portal (opscrecruitment.in).
2. Candidates are required to fill out the online application form with all relevant details and upload all mandatory documents, along with scanned copies of their photograph and signature.
3. The last date for registration of online applications is 18/09/2023.
Educational Qualifications:
1. Candidates must possess an MBBS degree or an equivalent qualification from a medical college or institute recognized by the Indian Medical Council.
2. As per the Odisha Medical Registration Act of 1961, candidates are required to hold a valid Registration Certificate.
3. Candidates must also possess the necessary Conversion Certificates that have been duly approved by the Indian Medical Council.
Additional Requirements:
- Applicants must be Indian nationals.
Candidates should have proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in the Odia language. This includes having passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject.
