The salary for different teacher posts varies.
Primary Teachers: Pay band of Rs. 44,900-142,400,
Secondary Teachers: Pay band Rs. 47,600-151,100.
House Rent Allowance (HRA) and other allowances are also provided.
The eligibility criteria vary depending on the level of teaching (Primary, Secondary, or Higher Secondary). Education qualifications are specified for each level.
For Primary Teacher
1. Successfully completed 12th grade (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and either passed or are in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), or a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
2. Successfully completed 12th grade (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and either passed or are in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
3. Graduated with a minimum of 50% marks and completed a 2-year Diploma in Early Education, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), or a B.Ed Special Education.
4. Hold a Master's degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks and have completed a 3-year Bed-Med Course.
Additionally, you must have a B.Ed qualification and be either CTET or Bihar TET qualified.
Secondary Teacher
1. A Graduation or Post-graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks, along with a B.Ed degree or a Bed Special Education degree from a recognized university or institute.
2. A 4-year B.Ed or BSc.ED degree from a recognized university or institute.
Higher Secondary Teacher
1. Hold a Master's degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university or institute, along with a B.Ed, BA.Ed, or BSc.ED degree from a recognized university or institute.
OR
2. Possess a Master's degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks and have completed a 3-year Bed-Med Course, in addition to being STET paper 2 Qualified.
